It’s not your fault. 

And while I won’t point the finger to any one coach, consultant, or expert out there for snaring you in that trap…

You should know that the entire Course Creation Coaching Industry has done you a disservice. 

I know, because I too have followed the wrong advice at the beginning of my course creation journey…

And ended up lacking courage, confidence… oh, and tens-of-thousands of dollars 🙁 

That Disservice Is This…

The industry has provided you with a whole lot of increasing information out there about how to BUILD your online course…

But frightfully little about how to sell it. 

Which is why, sure… 

Inside this letter, I’m going to be exposing the limiting beliefs you might have surrounding your first (or next) online course… 

BUT…

I’ll also be bringing to light the simplest, and smartest way to fill your online course with raving students in 2020…

Without draining your time, energy, passion, or bank account in the process.

3 Lies About Course Creation

LIE #1: You Can Turn Any Passion Into An Online Course

WARNING: This mindset could be the reason no one will buy your online course. 

Yep. 

This is HUGE. 

I used to think that if I just took what was in my head and put it into a course… it would sell itself. 

After all, people would pay me to say the same thing through my private, one-on-one coaching…

Why wouldn’t they pay me to say it to them online? 

It’s your area of expertise (your Genius Zone), and you’re a walking hub of knowledge and advice… 

So, if you have a solution that can provide an instant breakthrough to your struggling market, people should just be buying it, right? 

Well, I told you things would be getting a little controversial and here it is…

Because even if you have put hundreds of hours into building your online course…

There Is NEVER A Guarantee Of Your Course’s Success… 

While you know what you have to offer is valuable (and I know it too)…

You can’t make people feel obligated to buy what you’re selling.

If the above was true, every coach would be selling successful courses, right? 

Sadly though, so many coaches and consultants fall into the trap of investing hundreds of hours into building their course, only to find they struggle to make sales. 

That happened to me. 

It’s happened to my clients. 

And it will happen to you if you don’t follow this advice. 

After all, your course sales are the same as any sale…

If you don’t like a flavour of juice, you have no obligation to buy it. 

If you don’t like a brand of detergent, you have no obligation to pay for it. 

If you don’t like the shows on Netflix, you have no obligation to subscribe. 

If your market doesn’t want your online course… 

They don’t have to pay you for it. 

My point is, you simply might not be paid for your hours and hours (and hours) of work… and no one is warning you! 

Sounds rough, right? 

Do we just have to accept that no matter how much work we put into our course, we just might not make sales?

That our effort will go to waste… and we just have to suck it up?
Don’t worry, that’s not the case. 

You just need someone to show you a better way… 

Because here’s the good news, Lovely…

The E-Learning Online Course Industry Is Worth Over $150 Billion Dollars… And Growing

And you know what they say…

The road to hell is paved with good intention 😉 

Meaning, that’s a $150 billion dollar double-edged sword! 

On one hand, this highly saturated industry is super easy to get lost in…
But on the other hand…

The popularity of e-learning courses (think niche, ‘how-to’ courses for health, wellness, relationships, hobbies, pets, etc.) doubling every three years.

That’s over $13.5 million EVERY HOUR! 

Which adds up to over $326 million every day!

I’ll be honest, it’s NEVER been easier to create an online course than it is right now.

You can literally film a stunning, highly-professional-looking course all on your iPhone…

Pretty nuts, right?!

But of course, that means everyone else can too 😉

And you NEED to stand out in the crowd if you actually want your course to sell

Basically it comes down to this ONE thing…

You have to know your course is going to sell BEFORE you put those hours in.

And I’m going to show you how in just a little bit…

But first, I have a couple more myths to bust down for you.

LIE #2: Anyone With A Pulse (And A Credit Card) Are A Good Fit For Your Course

Here’s what I mean…

Traditionally the course creation industry wants you to think that as long as you think your course is good, then it’s sellable…

And that you need to sell to everyone and anyone (and their dog) to make a profit…

Because targeting more people means a higher chance of someone buying, right?

Wrong!

As much as we would love to accept everyone, it’s our moral obligation as educators to aim to sell the right course to the right person.

Always.

And what I mean by this is essentially this…

Even Though Your Mom Says Your Online Course Is Good… That Doesn’t Mean It’s Validated

And boy, oh boy, did I learn this lesson the hard way.

After spending 3 months building my first online course (that my super supportive mother said was really, really good)…

I ended up only selling this course that I’d spent over 800+ hours on…

To just ONE person...

For a grand total of $37 🙁

That meant I’d paid myself about $0.04 an hour to build this course.

Oh…

And that single client ended up requesting a refund a few weeks later…

So you see what I mean?

Your course has to be validated (by someone other than your Mom) before you put that time in… and it HAS to be sold to the right clients…

Believe me!

So, how do we know that our market wants our course… before we’ve spent that time building it? 

And how do we know what courses our clients even want us to make in the first place? 

Those are great questions… and the good news is, I’m getting to that answer in a moment. 

But first, I have one final lie to debunk:

​LIE #3: “Better Quality” Courses Make Better Profits

This is one of the course creation industry’s biggest problems right now. 

Did you know that, on average, it takes 500+ hours to finish an online course? 

Five. Hundred. 

That’s 8-hours a day, 7-days a week, for 3-months straight. 

I don’t know about you… but building an online course doesn’t sound as appealing to me after hearing that! 

So why does it take so darn long to build courses? 

Well, it’s because of this lie. 

It’s easy to think that the longer you spend on something, the better it will be. 

But here’s the thing:

If you’re not completely embarrassed by your first course, you’ve waited too long to launch! 

Check out what one of my first nasty little courses looked like:

You spend months mapping out the content of your course…

Buying expensive gear, and setting up a studio…

Writing scripts, filming videos… 

Creating worksheets

Tackling the tech… 

Then you spend your time figuring out how to advertise your course…

Writing sales letters, ads, emails, building landing pages… 

Then you go back into your course to put the final touches on… 

Uploading the videos, tweaking the branding, realising that that one video in Module 4 wasn’t quite right…

And then once you have finished (IF you finish), you finally launch your course…

Only to find…

No one wants it. 

Gah! How devastating?! 🙁

The most heartbreaking part is: 

There IS a better way! 

It’s just that most coaches and consultants don’t know about it…

And as a result…

The Average Self-Employed Coach Is Making Only A Fraction Of What They Are Worth

$45,424 a year to be exact.

They have the information to completely transform peoples lives or businesses…

Yet are only being paid a teeny fraction of what their knowledge is truly worth.

You see, no one is buying your course for the stunning camera quality… 

Or for the time, effort, and attention-to-detail you poured into it.

They’re buying your course because you’re solving a real, burning, painful problem they’re experiencing right now.
