Secret #1 – How to Discover Your Genius Zone That Prospects Will Pay You Premium Fees For…

Hey lovely, it’s Grace here…

When I tell women they can have a 6 and 7 figure business where they’re paid to teach one of their passions – they usually laugh at the idea…

And, I don’t blame them! 😉

Since birth we’ve been taught there’s no such thing as a high paying job you love to go to…

And yet, I’ve helped coach over 5,000 women to harness their genius zones into profitable products and services…

That gets them paid well AND has them jumping out of bed each morning to go to it!

In this blog post, I want to show you how to do the same…

A big promise, I know…

But one that I feel confident in making 🙂

You could be passionate about dogs…gardening…playing the piano…or maybe, parenting…or breaking addiction…any niche you can imagine!

And if there’s a market for it, you can get paid extremely well to teach about it.

Why? Because the online teaching, coaching, and consulting industries…are among the fastest growing markets in the world!

In fact, these markets rake in over $100 billion per year…isn’t that amazing?

Now let me ask you something, lovely…

Would you like a piece of that pie? 😉

Well, keep reading because I really want to show you how.

Now before we get there, I must tell you a story from my own journey…

Which can help YOU avoid one of the biggest failure-inducing mistakes you can make when launching your coaching, consulting or teaching business.

A few years ago I was trying to launch a new program in the online coaching and consulting world, all about teaching people how to create marketing videos.

So I built this little course, and I launched it out to market…

But, guess what happened?

After putting months of effort I made ONE sale…

Just one.

Have you ever worried that this might happen to you when launching your new business, lovely?

Or has that kind of failure ever actually happened to you too?

Oh my word, I’ve got to tell you right now, it was embarrassing! 🙁

I had to deliver my new program to just one person…

Scary, right!?

So what did I do next? I made a plan, and I made a time to meet with my mentor…

So she could help me figure out how I was going to get myself out of this huge hole I’d created…

And work out a new strategy to sell this program.

But I was NOT prepared for what happened next!

She looked at the plan I’d brought her (which I thought was pretty good!) and hit me right between the eyes with some of the most honest advice I’ve heard.

She said, “But, Grace, you aren’t amazing at video. You’re good at it, but you are AMAZING at automation and business building…

And WHY are you selling this to men? You’re so passionate about helping female entrepreneurs…they’re the people you connect with the most…

So Grace, why are you selling a video course to men? And why are you selling a course you’re not as passionate about, or experienced in, as you are with automation?

I was so shocked to hear this…

Because I’d spent so much time on this video course…

But I IMMEDIATELY realised how valuable this advice was.

In fact looking back, this was hands-down the most profitable advice I’ve ever received!

Here’s why…

My mentor made me realise that this video course wasn’t created from my Genius Zone.

Our Genius Zone is that part of us that we’re experienced at…

Passionate about…

And that just comes naturally.

Video? I wasn’t all too experienced at it…I really wasn’t passionate about it…and it certainly didn’t come naturally for me! 🙂

But I’d mistakenly decided to make a course simply because videos were big at the time, and I thought I could make some quick bucks.

Lovely, I was wrong!

This lesson taught me how important it is to create your business from your Genius Zone.

And guess what? As soon as I went back to teaching about marketing automation (my Genius Zone), that’s when my sales skyrocketed 😉

The funny thing is, I’ve had to be reminded of this lesson SO many times. The first was in Christmas 2012, a year later it was with my mentor and this video course, and there’s been other times since.

Every time I stray from my Genius Zone things start going downhill…

My products aren’t as good…

My sales aren’t as high…

And, ultimately, I can’t help as many people!

So now, I ONLY work in my Genius Zone…I make sure my staff ONLY work in their Genius Zones (and I don’t delegate them work they’re not amazing at!), and I teach all my students to build businesses based onTHEIR Genius Zones too.

Because lovely, when you build your business based on the foundation of YOUR Genius Zone, everything will fall into place.

Which courses and programs you should create becomes super clear…

…who to market your courses to becomes super clear…

…how to attract your clients and customers to your product becomes super clear…

…and how to deliver those programs becomes super clear!

Bottom line: everything becomes clearer and easier when your business is built upon your Genius Zone.

And I haven’t even mentioned the best part, my lovely lady…

Because you’re delivering coaching and training from your OWN Genius Zone, you’re doing something you’re experienced in…something you’re passionate about…and something that comes naturally!

And when you combine those things, you end up with a profitable business that has you jumping out of bed each morning to teach one of your passions 😉

Okay lovely, next I want to take you through what I call “The Genius Zone Audit”…

This process is designed to help you uncover your OWN Genius Zone, so you know you’re heading in the right direction to a successful, profitable business. Here we go…

STEP 1) THE GENIUS ZONE BRAINSTORM

Now, at this point in this blog post, you might have a bit of an idea what your Genius Zone might be…

In fact, usually, the problem with us ladies is that we have MULTIPLE Genius Zones, and we don’t know which one to go with! 😉

Do you have two different passions, like photography and music, that you can’t choose between?

Or do you have experience in something like finance, but not a lot of passion for it?

How do you make the choice?

That’s what I’m going to help you with.

But first, what I want you to do is brainstorm all the topics you’re both PASSIONATE about and EXPERIENCED in…

ALL of them, this isn’t the time to edit them 😉

What areas do you think you’d like to teach about…or coach on…and then we’ll use the following steps to find the Genius Zone that’s perfect for you!

STEP 2) THE GENIUS ZONE AUDIT

Now you’ve brainstormed your possible Genius Zones that you could build a business around, we next have to validate these ideas.

And we’re going to do that with a simple audit! Here’s how it works…

There are 4 areas you want to check your idea against, to see whether it’s valid to build a business around. These are…Experience…Passion…Resources…And, Profitability.

So lovely, run each of the ideas from your brainstorm through these questions:

PASSION:

>> On a scale of 1-10, how much does this idea excite you?
>> On a scale of 1-10, how passionate are you about the actual people you’re serving in this niche?

PROFITABILITY:

>> Important: Are there people already selling products or services around this topic/niche? (Competition is good because it means there’s a market for what you’re selling! Just jump on Google and find if there’s anyone else selling your idea. If they aren’t…that’s a bad sign 😉 )

EXPERIENCE:

>> Do you have any qualifications or accreditations in this niche?
>> Have you ever coached or consulted someone in this market before?
>> Do you have any case studies or testimonials to prove you’re an expert at this?
>> Have you ever published content (blog, podcast, YouTube videos) or delivered it for a live audience (webinar, Facebook Live, workshops)?

Note: If you answered no to any or all of the EXPERIENCE questions, it doesn’t mean you can’t build a business around this passion…

It might just mean you may need to get a few case studies or testimonials before charging for this service 😉

STEP 3) THE GENIUS ZONE CHOICE

Woo-hoo, we’ve come to the final step…picking your Genius Zone!

And in my experience, a lot of people already know in their heart which one it is…

But if not, answer this final question:

If you were to wake up in the morning and choose ONE idea that drives you most, which would it be?

And if you still can’t decide…look back over your Genius Zone Audit results…

Which idea placed highest in terms of scores?

THAT’S YOUR GENIUS ZONE.

Now, as mentioned above, when you build a business based on your Genius Zone, one of the most important things to consider is whether there’s an actual market for what you’re selling.

If you’re solving a problem no one wants solved…

No matter how good you are at marketing or selling…

It won’t make a difference!

So be sure to do your research (as mentioned above) to validate the profitability of your market…

I’m repeating this because, lovely, it’s soooo crucial to your success!

So do the work NOW so that your business has the best chance it can, and you don’t need to make the same mistakes I have 😉
